Born and raised in Louisville, KY I had a seemingly standard childhood; an education, a loving family, pets and girl cooties!
At an early age I gained quite a knack for crafting and building an odd number of things. This ranged from intricately designed Lego spaceships to scurrying about trying to find the last screw for the family computer I took apart before my mom pulled into the driveway (hopefully, she isn’t reading this). It was my curious nature, exposing my mind to the underlying structure of everyday items; this is what sparked the web designer in me.
1998, I’m just a little‘ol six grader surfing the tubes and the question arises... How do they make these websites? And so the thirst for knowledge began! I continued down this path and it wasn’t until the fall of 2007 that I decided to move to Indianapolis to pursue a career as a multimedia designer. Currently attending The Art Institute of Indianapolis, I will achieve my BS in Interactive Media & Web design within a year.
Here we are, 2010, it’s been over a decade and yet that question still remains the same. I am constantly searching the web for fresh designs to dissect and learn! Design research is by far my most favorite past time.
